Plumetis: the Embroidered Textured Sheer for Elegant Curtains in Decoration and Contract
Plumetis is a sheer fabric characterised by small raised motifs — typically dots or geometric shapes — distributed regularly on a tulle or semi-transparent base. This decorative technique, which can be achieved through embroidery, fil coupé or clipping, gives the sheer a subtle three-dimensional effect and great visual richness.

Originating from the French textile tradition, plumetis has established itself as one of the most elegant options in sheers for interior decoration, both in residential spaces and in hospitality and contract projects.

Plumetis in hospitality and contract projects

In the contract sector, plumetis is used as a sheer or lightweight curtain in superior hotel rooms, suites and prestigious areas. Its textured surface adds a decorative dimension that plain sheers cannot offer, elevating the perceived quality of the space.

For contract applications, plumetis is typically manufactured in polyester (PES), ensuring dimensional stability, industrial wash resistance and easy maintenance. Where fire-retardant properties are required, FR treatments are applied to meet the fire safety certifications required in the EU for contract fabrics, such as M1, B1 or Class 1.

Plumetis in Aznar Textil collections

As contract textile manufacturers in Spain, Aznar Textil includes plumetis in its sheer collections with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification. Available in widths of up to 300 and 330 cm, our plumetis fabrics are offered wholesale for professional interior design projects.

The combination of traditional techniques with modern materials allows us to offer plumetis that maintain artisanal charm with the technical performance demanded by the international hospitality market. We export to over 85 countries, adapting our collections to the tastes and regulations of each region.
