Piqué: Textured Relief Fabric for Contract Upholstery and Decoration
Piqué is a fabric characterised by its raised surface created through compound weaves that form small geometric motifs, typically diamonds, squares or waves. This three-dimensional texture is achieved using a double warp or differentiated thread tensions, producing a distinctive visual and tactile effect.

Thanks to its body, resistance and versatile aesthetics, piqué is widely used in interior decoration, upholstery and textile accessories. Its structure provides good dimensional stability and excellent recovery after use — qualities particularly valued in the contract sector.

Piqué in contract upholstery and hospitality applications

In hospitality and communal projects, piqué is used as an upholstery fabric for chairs, sofas and headboards, as well as in bedspreads, cushions and room accessories. Its textured surface adds aesthetic value that enriches interior design without resorting to prints, offering a discreet elegance highly appreciated in mid- to high-end hotels.

Cotton piqué is particularly suitable for bedspreads and hotel bedding, where breathability and soft hand feel are priorities. In polyester or blended versions, piqué meets contract fabric durability standards, withstanding industrial wash cycles whilst maintaining its characteristic texture.
