We Tell You Our Story

Aznar Textil’s first commercial operation dates back to 1881. More than 140 years later, with the incorporation of the seventh generation, the company has continued to grow, creating, inventing, advancing… weaving emotions since 1881.

Foundation of the company by Mr. José Aznar Delgado. The first sale was one and a half pieces of high-pile piqué measuring 67.8 meters at 8.40 reales per meter, for a total of 142.40 pesetas, with the firm Industrial Baurier.

Mr. Ramón Aznar Martí created a new company together with his brother Mr. Vicente. In 1933, Mr. Ramón Aznar passed away. One year later, the company was forced to suspend payments due to lack of liquidity, but it recovered quickly.

On December 31, 1939, Mr. Vicente Aznar Martí transferred the business to his sons, Mr. Vicente and Mr. Antonio Aznar Olmos, forming a company under the name Almacenes Aznar S.L.
On October 14, 1957, Valencia suffered a major flood, and the water entering the warehouse basement damaged much of the stock. On April 23, 1964, Mr. Vicente Aznar Olmos passed away, and the company continued under his brother, Mr. Antonio Aznar Olmos, together with Vicente’s family.

1964

Mr. Vicente Aznar Orobal joined the company.
Little by little, sales expanded across different Spanish provinces and regions.

Marisol Aznar Mengual joined the company in the commercial department.
In 1997, the company began participating in international trade fairs.

2000

The head offices in Paterna (Valencia) were renovated.
In 2002, a new corporate identity was introduced and the Aznar Textil brand was updated.
That same year, Eduardo Aznar Mengual joined the commercial department.
